Graphics In Action – Tandragee 100
A brace of top six finishes was good enough for Lisburn rider Michael Pearson, in Saturdays incident packed Tandragee 100 road races in County Armagh, at a meeting that Pearson admitted was demanding, with the former ISB Champion still suffering from the side effects of his prang at the Cookstown 100.
A hard fought sixth place in the Open Superbike race was followed up with an equally difficult fifth place in the Tangragee 100 Superbike race, when Pearson was again locked in a ding dong battle with Dublins Derek Sheils.
But it was in the Supersport 600 race that Pearson felt the cruelest of luck besought him when with only half a mile to go on the final lap, his D&GW/Carryduff Forklifts Yamaha lost all power while holding on to third place. Pearson eventually got his Yamaha fired up again but it was all to late as he limped over the finish line in tenth place.

Graphics In Action – Cookstown 100
Michael Pearson endured a mixed bag at a cold and windy Cookstown 100 on Saturday, with the former Irish Superbike Champion having to deal with everything from a practice spill to a race win. Also for good measure, Pearson took a DNF in the first Superbike Race when the 36SC/Richard Rawson Honda encountered a false neutral leaving Pearson stranded at the side of the road after just one lap.
A practice spill in Fridays Supersport 600 timed session meant that Pearson was unable to clock a starting time for Saturdays Group “A” race and was forced to start at the back of Group B, in which the D&GW/Carryduff Forklift Yamaha rider stormed to a 13 second race win on corrected time.
Pearson then followed that up with a super fourth place finish in the Cookstown 100 Superbike race when he just narrowly missed out on a podium place after a good clean battle with Adrian Archibald.
